It was both fabulous and horrible at the same time! The best part was seeing the kids enjoy nature. Kayla loved finding bugs, flowers, trees, etc.
It is hard to say what the worst part was, between the rain, hail, and lightning we walked through for over an hour, or Gavin having the flu for 2 of the 4 days! It was quite an adventure and we are still trying to convince Kayla that hiking does not mean walking in lightning.
Kayla's bandage and hat were due to the treadmill accident.
Big kids sleeping next to each other in real beds! I woke up one night to a big thump and found Kayla climbing back into her bed. She didn't care so neither did I and we took their bed rails off when we got home
Hiking - the rain started shortly after this.
We did a pseudo hike up a dirt road after the rainy hike and when Gavin was feeling better.
