The kids got a week off for fall break which most other schools in Austin do not get. We spent the first half of the break camping on the beach in Port Aransas. Chris had such a great time doing this with the kids in the spring that he wanted to bring me and the kids back. Well, it was VERY windy and even the Eagle Scout Chris could not keep our tent from blowing and breaking in the wind! After the first night we ended up putting the tent in the dumpster and getting a hotel! We still had a great time enjoying the beach during the day and the comfort of a hotel at night.
We spent the second half of their fall break moving to north Austin. We miss our old house for the cul-de-sac, back yard, neighborhood pool and friends, but we LOVE the commute and proximity to work and school. We also have some great new next door neighbors with 4 kids that our kids love to play with. I also love our new street name - Enchanted Forest Dr.
